After six months of Israel's assault in Gaza, the Palestinian medical infrastructure had been destroyed, leaving tens of thousands of pregnant women without a safe place to deliver.

In this audio documentary, my colleague Gabrielle Berbey and I follow one Palestinian mother over the final months of her pregnancy as she searches for a safe place to deliver her baby, while her sister in Canada works desperately to get her out.
